Who We Are
Queen Bee Kennel is a family-owned business specializing in large-breed dogs. After discovering our daughter’s interest in veterinary medicine, we chose to support her. We opened a kennel to give her experience and a Résumé to help cultivate her dreams. Our future vet helps administer dewormer, clean ears, bathe, brush, and blow-dry the puppies. She also helps weigh them weekly to ensure healthy, steady growth.
Her younger brother has become increasingly involved, especially during late nights while assisting with whelping. Together with Dad, he helps exercise and socialize the puppies. Thanks to his efforts, all puppies leave familiar with playing soccer. He also supports feeding, watering, and bottle-feeding as needed.
Mom (Gabe Torres) is a professor, regional artist, and SCAD graduate. The kennel's name is inspired by her mother’s maiden name, Queen, and her mascot, a bumblebee. Gabe brings compassion and creativity, tending to plants, animals, and large dogs, and designing many helpful contraptions for the puppies.
Dad (Brian Torres) is the kennel’s chef. With experience in the restaurant industry, he and his wife prepare the pups’ raw food mix in their kitchen. His energy ensures the puppies remain well-exercised, encouraging walking, fetching, and overall healthy development.
